Covenant Community Church – The word “Covenant,” meaning commitment or promise, is used extensively throughout the Bible. It reminds us of two fundamental truths. First, it reminds us of God’s many commitments and promises to those who love Him. From the beginning of creation God has been drawing people to Himself. We see this most fully in His plan of salvation as He has saved us from our sins through faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death and resurrection. The second fundamental truth that “covenant” reminds us of is the loving commitment we are to have to God and to one another.
God never intended for us to live out our faith isolated from others. Rather, His design is for us to be part of the body of Christ. We are to be a community, who together, are committed to loving God and one another in response to God’s commands for the purpose of His glory.
